Speaking before the Nigerian Senate plenary on Thursday, March 6, just before Akopti-Uduaghan was suspended, Akpabio claimed to have spent the night before the wedding inside the Dangote Cement facility in Obajana, Kogi State.

Akpabio, a former Niger Delta minister, stated that he is making this public so that people can realize how close the two families were. “On the night of Senator Natasha’s wedding, I slept in the Dangote cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State, because the Kogi airport lights were in poor condition,” he claimed.
