Magnus Ukadike, a Nigerian, became the first Nigerian to run unopposed and win an election in Brazil after winning a municipal election there. During Nigeria’s general elections in 2023, Ukadike served as the director general of the “Obidient Movement” in Brazil. Rev. Fr. Mbaeri wrote. According to the Catholic cleric, Ukadike was formally appointed as a council member of the Itaquera Subprefeitura Municipal Participatory Council.

At the Subprefeitura level, Mbaeri said, he will speak for the entire immigrant community in São Paulo. “Magnus is not only a political trailblazer, but also a dedicated member and Media Director of St. Josephine Bakhita Chaplaincy (African Catholic Community), where I serve as Chaplain,” he added. Before he entered this momentous occasion, he prayed to God for direction. We encouraged our members to assist him while entrusting his journey to God, as he came to the Chaplaincy for prayers and blessings.
