2. A former chairman of Irewole Local Government Area, Mr. Aderemi Abbas, and six other people were killed on Monday as a result of rising violence in Osun State, which has sparked accusations between the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party. A controversial Court of Appeal decision that purportedly reinstated APC-elected local government chairman set off the conflict.
3. Billionaire Aliko Dangote has acknowledged the difficulties he experienced in making his $23 billion Dangote Refinery project a reality and called it the “biggest risk” of his life. Dangote stated in an exclusive interview with Forbes on Monday that he is dedicated to offering an industrialization roadmap for Africa.
4. The National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee’s Lagos State Chapter has threatened to hold a large-scale demonstration at MTN Nigeria’s corporate office, alleging that the telecom behemoth has not completely retracted its recent increase in data rates. After the discovery of another woman’s dismembered body on Sunday, residents of the Sedu 2 village in the Ogijo region of Ogun State are demanding more security, especially from the Ogun State Police Command. Omolola Odutola, a spokesman for the command, stated that an inquiry was in progress to find the perpetrators of the horrific act, which was thought to be a ritual killing.

To determine the reason of a deadly motor vehicle accident that happened on Sunday in Amala, Ngor-Okpala, close to Owerri, the state capital, the Imo State Police Command has launched a thorough investigation.
