The group said that Dr. Alausa’s experience is essential to achieving Tinubu’s vision for Lagos, highlighting his lengthy career as a Chicago-based physician and his present position as Minister of Education. They think Alausa has the know-how to draw in modern advancements that will support President Tinubu’s continuous attempts to revitalize the state.
Wahab further asked President Tinubu to be patient with other candidates and let Dr. Alausa concentrate on his duties in his own state. He also cautioned that opposition to Obasa’s political destiny would be interpreted as an effort to weaken President Tinubu in Lagos and urged the ousted speaker to abstain from any activities that might upset the political order.
In addition, the statement praised President Tinubu for his continuous economic reforms and urged Nigerians to wait for the advantages of these measures to materialize. Since founding the Kidney Care Centre (KCC) in 2004, Dr. Alausa has amassed an amazing medical career. The KCC now has 17 locations in Illinois and several more around the United States. In 2014, he also founded the Dialysis Care Centre in Homer, Illinois, and has worked with many hospitals to treat kidney-related conditions.
Prior to being named Minister of Education on October 23, 2024, Alausa was appointed Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare on August 21, 2023, where he worked closely with Minister of Health Prof. Ali Pate to implement important health programs. Dr. Alausa received advanced training in the United States after earning a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Lagos. His political career started when he sided with President Tinubu, and it ended in 2023 when he was nominated and appointed Minister of State for Health.
Alausa has already implemented important reforms in his role as Minister of Education, such as eliminating the contentious 18-year-old age restriction for university entry and reorganizing degree programs to better suit the needs of the labor market.
