BREAKING NEWS: Akpabio explains why Buhari’s late COS Abba Kyari wanted Nunieh fired in order to sue the former NDDC boss.

According to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the late Chief of Staff Abba Kyari had an impact on the firing of Joy Nunieh, the former acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). According to Naija News, Akpabio revealed this information on Friday at a celebration of International Women’s Day held in the National Assembly complex’s former Senate chamber.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

“When I received a letter from the late Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff, stating that her certificates were questionable and she did not do National Youth Service, I wrote to the NYSC, and the NYSC responded. So I quickly changed her before it became a scandal,” Akpabio said, recalling his time as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs. He said that Kyari had expressed concerns about Nunieh’s credentials, which led to her removal.

Additionally, Akpabio denied Nunieh’s prior claims of sexual harassment against him, calling them unfounded. “Hell broke loose as soon as she was changed,” he stated. After stating that Akpabio had asked me to take an oath of allegiance in the Villa, she went on to say, “He tried to touch me, and I slapped him.” They informed her that the Villa is wired in this way. In the Niger Delta, I am the first female to smack him. “Is it like sexual harassment or rape?” asked Ruben Abati. “No, not rape, maybe something like that,” she said. “Sexual harassment?” he asked, and she replied, “Yes, sexual harassment.”

In addition, he stated that he intended to sue Nunieh for the accusations. Since my lawyer will be speaking with my other sister—whom they sometimes call Joy Nunieh—anytime within the next week, I would like to reveal her name. According to Akpabio, crime never dies. Nunieh had claimed in July 2020 that she had smacked Akpabio after he allegedly tried to attack her.

“Why didn’t he tell Nigerians that I slapped him in his guest house at Apo? I am the only Ogoni woman, the only Nigerian woman that has slapped him. I slapped him because of his plan B. Since he couldn’t get me to take that money, he thought that he could come up on me,” she said in an interview on Arise TV at the time.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
