The young player, who is of Nigerian descent, competes internationally for Denmark. In response to his request, Manchester United also changed his name on their official website. In October 2024, Chido left Arsenal for Manchester United when his schoolboy contract at the Emirates expired. The teenage player scored 32 goals and contributed three assists in 21 games for the north London team’s U-18s while he was at the Emirates. Since then, he has helped the Red Devils team score 12 goals and dish out one assist in nine games.
Adam Lawrence, the U18 manager at Old Trafford, has high praise for Chido, saying of him, “He wants to score goals and get himself into those positions, but I was really pleased with him just in terms of his link-up play — not just stretching and running in behind but recognising when to show into feet, how to use his body to shield the ball and when to bring others into play,” according to SportBible.
