“Not a single one of you seated here can defend the votes. Nigerians have been cheering you on, so if you have a grievance, voice it. People had to wait in line for Ibrahim Shekarau to become governor.It took place in Ghana prior to the previous president’s election. Many of us were called in to step in for two days. What made them do that, though? They were prepared to die.
“You are speaking and mistreating everyone. No one, not even myself, has power and will grant it to you. Get a pastor if that’s what you want as president.To stay in power, the politician is in Nigeria to steal, injure, and murder. “You are wasting your time if you believe Tinubu will give it to you,” he remarked. In the days preceding the 2015 presidential election, when a newly founded APC toppled the reigning Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, the All Progressives Congress, or APC, presidential candidate in the general election of 2023, described his experience.
He credited the APC’s success to its leaders’ willpower and willingness to go above and beyond. He claims that former President Goodluck Jonathan finally admitted loss after realizing the APC was ready to stand up for its mandate and urged voters to take comparable actions in subsequent elections.
Amaechi, who was one of 14 candidates who ran for the APC presidential ticket prior to the 2023 general election, polled second in the primary election with 316 votes, trailing eventual winner Tinubu, who received 1,271 votes. In October 2024, Amaechi expressed disappointment in Nigerians for their indifferent attitude toward the current economic hardship.
