This was revealed by Sunday Ude-Okeye, the party’s national secretary, in a statement on March 8. The NEC meeting, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, has been moved to Thursday, March 14, according to the announcement. According to Ude-Okoye, the rescheduling was in accordance with discussions between the National Working Committee (NWC) and other party organs.
“Distinguished members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) may recall that following appropriate discussion among Party leaders, stakeholders, and pertinent Party organs, the NEC meeting was set for Wednesday, March 13, 2025,” it stated.
However, in light of new issues, such as the necessity of wrapping up our ongoing Zonal, State, L.G.A., and Ward Congresses and allowing for additional consultation to ensure a smooth meeting, particularly with regard to other proposed activities of our Party, the NWC, after consulting with leaders, stakeholders, and pertinent Party organs such as the Board of Trustees (BoT), the PDP Governors’ Forum, and the PDP National Assembly Caucus, would like to inform distinguished members of the NEC that the 99th NEC meeting, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, 2025, has been inevitably moved to Thursday, May 15, 2025.
