In a Thursday post on his X account, Obi acknowledged that he had visited IBB following his meeting with Umar Namadi, the governor of Jigawa State.
The leader of the Labour Party revealed that national concerns were the main topic of conversation between him and Babangida. Obi claims that he also took advantage of the occasion to wish the previous leader a good new year.
The former governor of Anambra State characterized IBB as an intelligent man who is always willing to hear his point of view on matters. “From Jigawa State, I traveled to Minna, Niger State, to visit the former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, at his home. He is a father figure, elder statesman, and leader. The visit served as a chance to share opinions on national issues and wish him a happy New Year.
