BREAKING NEWS: Tinubu Meets with Olusi, GAC, and Seyi Tinubu Regarding Obasa and Sanwo-Olu’s Political Disagreement

The Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, has reportedly received a warning from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) over behavior that is considered disrespectful to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his office.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

This intervention, according to Naija News, came after President Tinubu met with GAC members in Lagos on Friday, just after he returned to the state for the year-end vacation. Sources told ThisDay that GAC Chairman Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi called the meeting to inform the president on political events in Lagos.

In order to emphasize the significance of maintaining the dignity of the governor’s office, as it was throughout Tinubu’s stint as governor from 1999 to 2007, Olusi reportedly brought attention to incidents of alleged disrespect by the Speaker towards the governor. During the discussions, specific occurrences were also described, some of which required direct engagement from GAC members.

Other participants, including Obasa, were given the chance to share their opinions after Olusi’s statements. When it was Tinubu’s turn, the president voiced his severe disapproval of the Speaker’s alleged actions, accusing him of failing to adequately oversee the political climate in the state in addition to showing disrespect for Governor Sanwo-Olu.

Sources claim that Tinubu brought forward a contentious bill from the Lagos State Assembly that would have made it possible to fire the commission’s chairman. He allegedly said, “Which governor will sign such a bill into law, anyway?” after dismissing the bill as unworkable.

Following the official meeting, Obasa allegedly asked the president for a private meeting to discuss his stance. Nevertheless, two additional GAC members attended this spontaneous meeting, where additional conversations allegedly confirmed the Speaker’s earlier objections. When President Seyi Tinubu’s son attended the second session, it was an unexpected high point of the gathering.

He asked, “Even though I’m the youngest here, I just needed the clarity for my understanding,” after hearing the discussions. Please explain why the party has groups if they are unable to bring the party together. According to ThisDay, this question struck a deep chord and ended the gathering. President Tinubu allegedly told the participants during the last session that he was aware of the situation and would deal with it when the time came.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
