BREAKING NEWS: Why Gov. Otti is running his government from home

Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti Abia State’s governor, Alex Otti, has responded to inquiries about why he is working from his home and why he is unable to update the state’s Government House. In response to the criticism, Otti stated that the previous administration had made the Government House unfit for habitation and that renovations would require significant financial resources. He, however, reiterated that the refurbishment of the government House is not a priority for him because he believes Abians elected him to deliver on the fruits of democracy. He said, for him, the important thing is that he is carrying out his duty as the governor of the state not where he is operating from

“Abians are interested in activities, not the accommodations their governor is staying at. Having roads in Aba, Umuahia, and other local government areas in Abia State is more important than where I live. “It is not as important as ensuring that Aba and Umuahia particularly are kept clean on a 24-hour, seven-day basis.
