Since Fubara was elected governor, Wike and Fubara have been at odds. On Monday, March 17, it was widely reported that the House of Representatives had started the process of impeaching the governor.
Reacting, Yesufu stated that she wishes she could ask Fubara to step aside for two weeks so she could governor rivers state. She said she would have shown that the nobody has the monopoly of misbehavior.
