Wojceich Szczesny is set to continue to be available for selection at Barcelona. The 34 year old Polish goalkeeper was sent off in the 56th minute of Barcelona’s 5-2 thumping of European Champions Real Madrid at the Spanish Super Cup Final. Szczesny is expected to still be available for Barcelona’s next game against Real Betis in the Copa Del Rey despite the red card.
According to reports from media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Wojceich Szczesny’s red card suspension only applies to the Spanish Super Cup and will not affect his participation in La Liga and the Copa Del Rey.
