Osinbajo, a law scholar and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, collaborated well with President Muhammadu Buhari to provide the nation with important infrastructure projects and effective governance, according to President Tinubu. Tinubu recalled how Osinbajo shown his abilities when he took over as president for a short time while President Buhari was in the UK for medical treatment.
The President affirmed that, in his capacity as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice during his tenure as Lagos governor, Prof. Osinbajo collaborated with him to implement numerous political and judicial reforms in the state through the use of the law, calling him a close friend, brother, and ally. When Professor Osinbajo ran alongside him for the All Progressives Congress presidential ticket in 2023, President Tinubu recognized that he had used his “democratic right and freedom.”
“Professor Yemi Osinbajo will always be my friend and associate,” the president said. He did a commendable job serving our nation as President Muhammadu Buhari’s vice president. “By working cooperatively and amicably with the president without hostility, he made all of us in the All Progressives Congress proud.” Along with Professor Osinbajo’s family, especially his wife Dolapo, children, friends, and associates, President Tinubu wished the learned professor many more years of good health and a prosperous future.
