Claims that 25 members of the Lagos State House of Assembly are preparing to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) for another political party have been denied by the assembly. Hon. The Assembly remembered that similar allegations, which wrongly claimed that 27 MPs were planning to switch to the Labour Party, surfaced during a recent leadership debate. Legislators reaffirmed their support for the ruling party, refuting that accusation as well. “To be clear, no member of the Lagos State House of Assembly who is affiliated with the APC is considering defecting,” the statement said.
