Five people are killed in Ukraine by Russian attacks.

Ivan Fedorov, the regional governor of Zaporizhzhia, wrote on the Telegram messaging app that the city had been hit over ten times, resulting in two fatalities and nine injuries. According to information obtained, among the injured were a mother in critical condition and a baby who was nine months old. Prosecutors claimed that Russian forces dropped at least six guided bombs on the town of Krasnopillia in the Sumy area, which is on Ukraine’s northern border with Russia. The bombs killed two people and injured at least two more.

Prosecutors said Russian forces dropped three bombs on the settlement of Kostiantynivka, near the battle lines, in the eastern Donetsk area, which is the center of Russia’s continuous westward push, killing one person. Similarly, interim regional governor Yuri Slyusar reported that a Ukrainian drone hit a 17th-floor apartment building in Rostov-on-Don, a city in southern Russia, hurting two persons. He also added that several drones were destroyed by air defenses. Alexander Gusev, the regional governor of Voronezh in southern Russia, stated that over ten Ukrainian drones were destroyed, emphasizing that there were no reports of damage or injuries.

In the meantime, the Kremlin announced this week that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump had reached an agreement during a phone conversation to observe a 30-day ceasefire on energy targets. According to reports, that agreement fell short of a broader agreement for a 30-day truce that the US had sought and that Ukraine had accepted. Next week, Saudi Arabia and, separately, Russian and Ukrainian officials are to hold talks on pursuing a truce.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
