He said this on Monday during the 60th birthday celebration of former House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Emeka Ihedioha. Obi recalled the attempt by the presidency to step in after he was impeached as governor by the Anambra House of Assembly. Recall that on November 2, 2006, the Anambra House of Assembly removed Obi from office as governor; however, he appealed the removal, and the court reinstated him in February 2007.
