One of the wedding guests reportedly died and the groom became gravely ill as a result of the incident. The state’s Jahun Local Government Area was the scene of the tragedy. PUNCH Online was informed by witnesses that the bride’s behavior might have been motivated by a personal grudge.
Shi’isu Adam, the state police public relations officer, acknowledged the occurrence and stated that an inquiry was in progress. We learned that the groom was quite unwell after the bride contaminated the food at the wedding reception. Adam stated, “Two suspects have been taken into custody by police in relation to the purported food poisoning incident that took place during a wedding ceremony in the state.”
“The two suspects are the bride and another female,” he disclosed, adding that the command’s Criminal Investigation Department is currently holding and questioning them.
“We will do everything in our power to ensure that justice is served,” the police spokeswoman continued. With the exception of the one confirmed death, all of the wedding guests who ate the tainted food have been released from the hospital, according to the police spokesperson.
“We will share more information as soon as we have it. The command is now looking into the circumstances surrounding the occurrence. “At this time, we can confirm that the incident happened, and we are diligently trying to find out what happened.
