Before he passed away, the terrorist, who was notorious for frightening villages in Katsina and Zamfara States, was barking like a dog due to an unknown illness. It was also revealed that approximately a week ago, Dan Lukuti fell unwell. Unusual symptoms he experienced were extreme anger, uncontrollable spasms, and eventually constant dog-like barking. His condition was so strange that his foot soldiers were unable to approach him and stayed away from him until his death.
Additionally, it was learned that Dan Lukuti was a well-known bandit boss who operated out of the Kokonba jungle in Zamfara State’s Tsafe Local Government Area. He allegedly oversaw more than fifty armed bandits and carried out several attacks in Dan Jiloga, Rijiya, Zonai, Magami, and along the Gusau-Magami route. He also reportedly extended his banditry operations to Katsina State’s Faskari Local Government Area.
Insufferable miseries characterized his reign of terror. He was buried at the local primary school after his foot soldiers compelled the people of Kizara, Tsafe local government area, Zamfara State, to do so, according to a local source. It is thought that his unexplained death may have been caused by rabies or spiritual consequences for his ongoing terror operations.
