Jake Epelle’s cry for peace in Rivers state was captured in a viral video posted on Channels TV’s official X account on Thursday. He said this after FCT Minister Nyesom Wike declared that impeachment of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara would have no effect. According to the elder statesman, Fubara cannot be removed from office. He also called on Asari Dokubo and Tompolo not to take any action that will affect the people of Rivers state.
According to Jake Epelle;
“Whatever happens, they shouldn’t be calling for impeachment even though they reserve the right to express their opinion. Their opinion may not be constitutional. What would be the consequences? Rivers people are resilient, peaceful.
