JUST-IN: Abuja kidnappers murder a woman who was abducted together with her husband, honor, doctor, and another person.

According to reports, on Monday evening, January 27, 2025, Mrs.Adesiyan’s body was found in a bush close to the Itagbajii hamlet in Niger state. At approximately 11.30 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, the deceased, her husband, Mr. Akinropo Adesiyan, their son, Ifeoluwa, and a family member, Dr. Rauf Adekunle Adeniji, were kidnapped from their residence together with a neighbor who worked at a nearby chicken farm.

According to reports, the poultry worker’s wife was hurt and subsequently brought to Kubwa General Hospital for medical attention. Speaking about how the body was found, Mr. Oluwafemi Adepoju, the deceased’s coworker and ally, stated that at around 8.30 a.m., he was called by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Byazhin Police Station in Kubwa.At approximately 11.30 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, the deceased, her husband, Mr. Akinropo Adesiyan, their son, Ifeoluwa, and a family member, Dr. Rauf Adekunle Adeniji, were kidnapped from their residence together with a neighbor who worked at a nearby chicken farm.

“A police and vigilante group team who described the recovery of the corpse stated that they were shot at approximately 9 p.m. on Monday while on patrol in the vicinity of Itagbajii hamlet. National Assembly Commission staffer Adepoju stated, “The victim was shot in the left side of her chest and has bruises all over her body.”

According to Adepoju, the security team clarified that the victim might have been shot dead by the kidnappers because she was too exhausted to endure the tiresome and taxing trek through the woods. He claimed that after identifying the body, they took it back to Abuja and placed it at Kubwa General Hospital.

SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT command, stated that the command had not yet received a briefing regarding the victim’s body recovery. In a statement released Monday in Abuja, the PPRO confirmed the kidnapping and stated that the command had launched a thorough search and rescue effort to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped individuals and capture the criminals responsible.

“The general public and residents of the Chikakore locality are urged by the FCT Police Command to maintain composure and vigilance. The police should be notified right away of any helpful information that could aid in the investigation and rescue operations, she urged.
