The three officials, Onabanjo Abidemi, Raymond Lateef, and Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi, were reportedly examining a property in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, according to the police.
They encountered an old guy who they subsequently learned was Portable’s father when they were making sure the structure adhered to the authorized blueprint. The father claimed that his son, Portable, was not accessible at the moment when the officials introduced themselves and requested to view the building’s authorized plan.Nine of Portable’s friends were brought before an Abeokuta magistrate court just two weeks ago. Among the many charges against them were felony, assault, unauthorized imprisonment, and weapon possession. Nurudeen Warris (21), Adetola Alashe (25), Samuel Adeleke (28), Gospel Kanu (20), Precious Ohiegebo (19), Ifeoluwa Babatunde (27), Fatimo Muhammad (26), Oluwaseun Ayenuwa (19), and Oluwapelumi Adeosun (20) were among the accused. After they were eventually awarded N5 million, the case was delayed until March 17.
Shortly afterward, however, Portable showed up with a gun and other dangerous weapons, and he and nine other men attacked the unarmed officials. The officials were hurt in the attack, but they were able to flee and reported the incident to the Ota Area Command. The case was then sent to the State Criminal Investigation Department for additional investigation.
Portable escaped the scene and has been in hiding ever since, even though nine of his accomplices were taken into custody. Portable disregarded several formal invitations to visit the police station, said to police spokesperson Omolola Odutola. The statement said, “The Ogun State Police Command has obtained a valid court order declaring him wanted following his repeated evasion.”
“The public is urgently encouraged to share any important information that could result in his quick arrest. Anyone caught harboring or assisting the criminal will be prosecuted. Citizens are urged to report to the closest police station or get in touch with the Ogun State Police Command via its official lines of communication if they have any pertinent information, the statement continued.
