Nigerians have been asked by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to participate in nonviolent demonstrations against telecom companies for raising rates without following the proper procedures. Organized labor expressed dissatisfaction in an interview with Arise News on Thursday that the telecom companies had disregarded the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) it had signed over the tariff increase. He emphasized that the service providers would only be forced to return to the previous pricing if citizens cooperated and protested civilly.
