Reverend Father Sylvester Okechukwu The United States Mission in Nigeria has expressed sadness over the reported brutal killing of Reverend Father Sylvester Okechukwu in Kaduna State. Okechukwu was kidnapped from his residence on Tuesday, March 4, and found dead on Wednesday, March 5, as confirmed by the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan. The mission, on Friday, condemned the act and extended their condolences to the deceased family, congregation, and the Catholic community.
In addition, it urged Nigerian authorities to make sure that those responsible are held accountable. Prior to his passing, Okechukwu was employed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tachiri, Kaura Local Government Area, Kaduna State. In a statement released on Wednesday, Diocesan Chancellor Fr.
