According to Bishop Oyedepo, faith alone is not enough; it must be coupled with the necessary responsibilities as outlined in Scripture.

He said, “Faith has to be accompanied by the required responsibilities as contained in Scripture. So, we must engage in prayer to realize any dream.”

The Bishop stressed that prayer is an essential tool in fulfilling God’s promises. Quoting from Deuteronomy 2:24, he stated, “Behold, I’ve given you Sihon and his land. Begin to possess it and contend with him in battle,” pointing out that while God’s blessings are given, they must be taken by force. The force of prayer and fasting, he said, is vital to claiming what has already been promised.

Bishop Oyedepo also highlighted the importance of prayer in the salvation of souls, emphasizing that “souls must first be prayed into the kingdom before they can be harvested.” This, he explained, is a foundational principle for both spiritual and personal breakthroughs.

The sermon also touched on the idea of holistic well-being, with Bishop Oyedepo declaring that those who engage in these practices will experience supernatural health.

He declared, “I will keep fit. I will keep physically fit, emotionally fit, spiritually fit.” This, he assured, is the natural outcome of engaging with the divine through prayer and fasting, leading to overall success and vitality.

Bishop Oyedepo then urged believers to understand that realizing their dreams requires not just faith, but an active engagement in spiritual discipline, particularly through prayer and fasting
