Rotimi admitted to stealing seven cars this month and relocating them outside of the state while being paraded by the Ondo state police command in Akure, the state capital. Waheed Adekanbi, also known as Elubo, was paraded with the suspect. The suspect said in an interview that the cars were taken from parks where their owners had parked them.
He claims that among the cars we took out of the parking lot were two (2) Toyota Camry Often referred to as “tiny light,” there is a Honda CRV and two (2) Toyota Corolla models from 2003 and 2005. In Lagos, five of the stolen vehicles were disassembled and offered for sale as spare parts.
Wilfred Afolabi, the state police commissioner, spoke about their arrest, stating that “the vehicle was flagged down at the licensing office after a case of car theft at Oke Aro, Akure, was reported to the Police.” The police were notified two weeks ago when the car was brought to the licensing office to be registered.
The individual who came to register the automobile stated that he paid N4.3 million to a car dealer named Temidayo Folajimi ‘M’, who is 43 years old, for the vehicle in Lagos. The dealer then directed the police to Rotimi Akinsanoye’m’, who is 38 years old. “Rotimi admitted during questioning that he is the mastermind behind the majority of stolen vehicles (removal from Parks).” “Two of the vehicles have been recovered while others have been destroyed.”Waheed Adekanbi’m’, 51, is currently being held and is providing the police with the information they need to verify the accuracy of the assertion that the remaining cars have been damaged and are being sold as spare parts.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
