The senate ethics committee hearing of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s sexual harassment case against Senator Godswill Akpabio turned into a verbal combat after Senator Nwaebonyi clash with Oby Ezekwesili during the hearing.
The Senator who was standing in for Senator Godswill Akpabio was furious at the remarks made by the former minister for Education who simply told him to, “Compose yourself and stop making noise,” Ezekwesili told Nwaebonyi.
However, Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi was angered by her remarks as he retorted back, calling her a fool and demanded why she spoke to her in that manner.
The angry Senator refused to accept what he described as an insult, stating that Oby Ezekwesili was an insult to womanhood.
He further questioned her audacity to be at the national assembly, pointing out that people like her should not be at the chambers
“You’re a fool. What do you mean? Why are you talking to me like that? I will not take it. You’re an insult to womanhood. People like you cannot be here.” He fumed.
