The video, which Uguamaye posted on her TikTok account, #talktoraye, on Saturday, highlighted her growing frustration with Nigeria’s deteriorating economic situation. She voiced her dismay at how hard work appears to be in vain in a country plagued by financial struggles.
In her video, she openly condemned Tinubu, labeling him a “terrible leader” and questioning the government’s efforts to improve the lives of Nigerians who continue to suffer under the current economic conditions.
In addition to criticizing the federal government, Uguamaye also expressed dissatisfaction with Lagos State, calling it a “smelling state” due to what she described as its unpleasant odor and poor living standards.

She condemned what she viewed as an effort to silence her, reaffirming that her intentions had always been to speak the truth about the nation’s dire circumstances.
On Instagram, she shared a message stating, “Dear Nigerians, I am already getting threatened by the NYSC board to stop speaking on this issue. Less than 24 hours, I’m already getting threatened by the government starting with the NYSC board!”
She continued to voice her concerns, revealing that the government had her personal address and implying that if anything were to happen to her, people would know who to hold responsible.
“Dear Nigerians, they have my address. In case you guys don’t see me online, please you know who to hold accountable. I didn’t do anything wrong I just asked that they work on the inflation.”
She stressed that she had not done anything wrong by simply requesting action on the inflation issue, stating, “I didn’t do anything wrong; I just asked that they work on the inflation.”
Uguamaye challenged the government’s reluctance to accept criticism, emphasizing that her status as an NYSC member should not take away her right to voice her opinions.
She asked, “Why can’t I speak up? Being an NYSC corper doesn’t mean I signed up my right to complain.”
She also criticized the government’s approach to dissent, saying, “Why can’t the government listen to the critics of its citizens? They believe they have a chain on me, which is NYSC, and they are using it to hold me.”
She concluded by asserting that she had done nothing wrong, reaffirming her right to criticize the government and demanding that the voices of the citizens be heard, using the hashtag #officialasiwajubat.
