“Boniface tried to calm me down, but at that moment, I didn’t want to hear anything,” Osimhen, who spoke to WhistlerNG, later stated. I left because I was in pain, not because I was being disrespectful. I always give it my all on the field, not only for myself but also for my team, Nigeria, and the supporters who have faith in us.
“That victory was necessary. Those points were essential. We must now put in much more effort to earn a spot in the World Cup. We can’t continue to make the same mistakes, yet it’s not over. Nigeria deserves nothing less, thus all I want is for us to do and be better. “I was frustrated, I can’t lie. That game against Zimbabwe? We ought to have prevailed.
