President Tinubu Response After He Gives Fresh Order Over The Merciless Burning of 16 Northerners

 

According to Channels Television, President Bola Tinubu has ordered a manhunt for the murderers of 16 Northern Nigerian travelers who were brutally murdered in the Udune Efandion town of Uromi, Edo State.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The victims, primarily Hausa hunters, were on their way from Port Harcourt to Kano for the Sallah festivities when they were intercepted by members of the Edo State Security Corps and local vigilantes. The incident, which occurred around 1:30 pm on March 27, 2025, escalated when an angry mob took the law into their own hands, accusing the travellers of being kidnappers.

 

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed his shock and sadness over the incident. He emphasized that the government would not tolerate such acts of jungle justice and assured the families of the victims that the perpetrators would be brought to justice. The President also reaffirmed that all Nigerians have the fundamental right to move freely within the country without fear of harm or violence.

Furthermore, President Tinubu commended the timely intervention of Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, and community leaders in Uromi for their efforts in preventing the situation from escalating further. He stressed that acts of violence and extrajudicial killings have no place in a lawful society.

The President directed security agencies, including the police, to conduct a thorough and swift investigation into the incident. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that justice is served and that those responsible for the killings are held accountable.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
