During an interview with Arise TV, Agbazuere described the situation as both “amusing and petty,” suggesting it reflects a hidden political agenda. He argued that instead of focusing on financial matters and local government probes, the sole administrator should be prioritizing efforts to restore peace in Rivers State.
Agbazuere further accused the administrator of deliberately creating unrest to justify an extended stay in office. He claimed that images of the governor have been removed from several locations across the state, questioning whether these actions were part of a broader strategy to prolong the state of emergency.
According to The Guardian Nigeria, Agbazuere stated: “The administrator should be working to restore peace in Rivers State. Instead, he is talking about N15 billion and launching probes into local governments. It seems like a deliberate attempt to create confusion and extend his stay. Even his wife has assumed the role of the governor’s wife. This is clearly part of an agenda.”
