He condemned Wike’s stance, questioning how civil servants, teachers, hospital workers, and market women would survive under such circumstances. According to Sara-Igbe, Wike dismissed these concerns, stating, ‘I will survive,’ showing that his primary interest is power, not governance. He further accused Wike of destabilizing the state and creating divisions among different ethnic groups.
He said in an interview with NDNTV, “He said he would ask the Assembly members to leave for six months so that state funds could be locked up. You were a governor before—do you want your state to suffer. When asked about the civil servants, teachers, hospital workers, and market women, he said, “I will survive.”To him, that is not his business. His business is power. He wants to get power.
