A former immigration officer who specializes in providing weapons to criminals operating along the Abuja-Kaduna road was arrested by the Federal Capital Territory’s police on Wednesday. The force was effective in keeping the weapons from reaching the criminals, according to Mustapha Mohammed, the man in charge of the police anti-kidnapping section. The command seized these firearms from a fired immigration officer who was trying to sell them to criminals raging through the Abuja-Kaduna forest, Mohammed added, acting on intelligence. He went on to say, “The arms were intercepted while he was trying to make the delivery, and the intelligence was received in time.”
Mohammed claims that among the weapons found on the former immigration employees is a Scorpion CZ EVO3, a sophisticated, fully automatic gun with a built-in silencer. Additionally, he verified that the weapon was the most recent Scorpion type, the 2022 model, and that, depending on configuration, its magazine could store up to 30 rounds.
