Upon being called immediately following the president’s announcement, Joseph Johnson, the Commissioner of Information and Communications, stated that the government was in no hurry to adopt a stance. “What do you think we can say? The president has made a declaration,” Johnson remarked. I believe it is premature to remark on it in any way. Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd) has been appointed by President Tinubu as the Administrator to oversee state affairs at this time.
