Cases pertaining to the local government elections held in the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State will be heard and decided by the Court of Appeal in Abuja on April 8, 2025. After considering many motions submitted in conjunction with the primary case, the appellate court set the date for Monday. In an attempt to reverse the ruling of the Federal High Court in Kano, which had prohibited the holding of elections since October 2024, the Kano State House of Assembly had petitioned the court. The House of Assembly, represented by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Adegboyega Awomolo, contended that the Federal High Court lacked the authority to get involved in issues pertaining to Kano State local government elections.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
