While Fatinoye was an employee of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Abeokuta branch, his wife was an employee of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, until their gruesome murder in the early morning of January 1, 2023

Their assailants, led by their driver, Lekan Adekanbi, struck at about 2 am when the couple who had just come back from the crossover service into the New Year 2023 were relaxing and hoping for an exciting year

They never knew that something horrible, the end of their journey in life, was lurking at their Ibara GRA residence when it was invaded by the trio of Adekanbi and two other cultists who snuffed the life out of the couple and their only son after which they set the house and the corpses ablaze.

Lekan and his gang had cruelly tied both the hands of Oreoluwa, their only son and another adopted son and threw them inside the Ogun River.
