Neymar is set to seal an emotional return to his boyhood club in Brazil this January.
The move will bring to an end his miserable spell at the Saudi Pro League side.
Neymar signed for Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023. But he has seen injuries ruin his stint at the club, as he has only played seven games in a year and a half.
The 32-year-old has six months left on his current deal and it is still unclear how his move to Santos will be facilitated.
The two options are: terminating his contract with the Saudi Pro League champions or a loan move to Brazil.
But Neymar is ready to drop his wages significantly to facilitate his move to Santos this month, and his contract situation at Al-Hilal remains the only obstacle blocking his move.
